![]() Notice how PS2 has all that great dust/particle physics? That's part of the original vision, what people argue makes this game art, and it's totally stripped out of the sterilized "upgrade". Skip to around 1:11 when he's fighting the second colossus. I know I know, big number is always better, but check out this video. The PS2 could do much more interesting things with smoke, for example, than a PS3/4/5 can. A big part of that involves particle physics, dust, stuff like that. ![]() Even modern PCs struggle to emulate certain PS2 games because of this, especially MGS3: Snake Eater and SotC. PS2 also has a very unique architecture that allowed for things that PS3 and PS4 can't emulate correctly. It's especially noticeable in the time attacks as you realize you're fighting a broken system rather than a colossus. Yes, the physics got mangled in the process so the ps3 has problems with Wander being shaken off too easily.
